About Chantale

Chantale grew up in Abitibi (Quebec), a cold reclused area, a land of the colonizers with an attitude of “We can accomplish anything, if we believe in it”. She has colonizer’s blood inside of her. Nothing is impossible for Chantale, when she believes in it. Her path is colored by two themes: freedom and authenticity.

Her first mentors guided her quest towards environmental values. “A new diet for America” (John Robbins) led her down the path to becoming vegetarian, focussing on organic agriculture, then vegan, all while gradually exploring a raw food diet. For about ten years, living foods became her main playground…

After a journey at Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida, her own health was deeply affected by the experience of raw foods, as well as many other people who crossed her path. She continued her research in California where she became a certified raw food chef at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute.

  • To always learn from experiences,
  • stay focused on the mission,
  • and to aim higher, get stronger, go further, while always offering the best quality.

In Chantale’s Words:

My highest accomplishments

Running raw vegan cafes in north-west of Quebec and BC, self-publishing my books, distributing them everywhere in Canada, through the USA and France, developing unique university level programs are some projects among others that I’m very proud of. However, I must admit that the greatest things in my life are my two amazing sons…

My projects

In addition to my courses and workshops, I’m always working on a new book! I have 5 in progress at this moment.  As you know, I write them in French first, then they are translated in English. To be continued…

Beyond cuisine

I love culinary art and I love growing these delicious ingredients used to create my recipes… « Le Village – West Point Grey Garden » is one of projects that are dear to me.  To be continued…
