My refuge, has always been food. I&rsquo;ve never been tempted by coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc., thank God! When I was younger, this refuge was much less green than now&#8230; Over the years, I have gradually learned to live and manage my emotions without eating them instantly. I also learned to \u00ab\u00a0greener\u00a0\u00bb and clean up my diet. I continue to recover, with confidence.<\/p>\n<p>During my childhood, I was pacifying myself with food which temporarily calmed my emotions, regardless of what kind it was, sorrow, joy, anger, anxiety. I remember the balm, short, but sweet, of the hot bread with butter coming out of the oven, chocolate bar and ice cream that were so inviting in my home, back in these moments of emotion.<\/p>\n<p>Several decades later, I realize that when I find myself, still in one of these food oasis, which have now taken a plant-based and raw form, it&rsquo;s a choice that I&rsquo;m making. I now have lots of tools for my well-being. Sometimes I opt for sobriety, accepting and going through my emotions, sometimes I opt for the food, though much healthier, but it&rsquo;s the same behavior : a detour. Somehow, I always look ahead and I focus on my victories.<\/p>\n<p>When I find myself in my food escape again, I sometimes turns my refuge of yesteryear into its \u00ab\u00a0improved\u00a0\u00bb version. Rawfreshing Cuisine 2014)<\/p>\n<p>(excerpt from Chantale&rsquo;s most recent book : Crusine express 1 <a title=\"crusine express 1\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chantaleroy.ca\/en\/fr\/produits\/%20\/\">http:\/\/www.chantaleroy.ca\/fr\/produits\/\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Servings<\/p>\n<p>4<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>4 ripe bananas (but not too much), peeled, frozen on a tray for at least 2-3 hours<\/p>\n<p>60 ml (4 tbsp.) Dried cranberries<\/p>\n<p>60 ml (4 tbsp.) Flaked coconut<\/p>\n<p>Preparation<\/p>\n<p>Blend the chopped frozen bananas in a high speed blender. With a domestic blender, you may need to add a little water to facilitate the reduction of banana ice cream. Serve in a pretty bowl and garnish with cranberries and coconut. Mon refuge, depuis toujours, est la nourriture. Je n&rsquo;ai jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 tent\u00e9e par le caf\u00e9, la cigarette, l&rsquo;alcool, la drogue, etc., Dieu merci! Quand j&rsquo;\u00e9tais plus jeune, ce refuge \u00e9tait beaucoup moins vert que maintenant&#8230; Avec les ann\u00e9es, j&rsquo;ai peu \u00e0 peu appris \u00e0 vivre et \u00e0 g\u00e9rer mes \u00e9motions sans les manger instantan\u00e9ment. J&rsquo;ai aussi appris \u00e0 \u00ab verdir \u00bb et \u00e0 assainir mon alimentation. Je continue mon travail de r\u00e9tablissement, avec assurance.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant mon enfance, je me cr\u00e9ais des refuges alimentaires avec ce qui apaisait momentan\u00e9ment mon \u00e9motion, peu importe de quel ordre elle \u00e9tait : peine, joie, col\u00e8re, anxi\u00e9t\u00e9. Je me rappelle du baume, si bref, mais si doux, du pain chaud avec du beurre, de la tablette de chocolat et de la cr\u00e8me glac\u00e9e que je trouvais dans la maison, dans ces moments d&rsquo;\u00e9motion.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs d\u00e9cennies plus tard, je prends conscience que lorsque je me retrouve encore dans un de ces refuges, qui ont d\u00e9sormais pris une forme v\u00e9g\u00e9tale et crue, j&rsquo;en fais le choix. J&rsquo;ai maintenant plein d&rsquo;outils pour mon bien-\u00eatre. Parfois j&rsquo;opte pour la sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 en vivant et en traversant compl\u00e8tement mon \u00e9motion, parfois j&rsquo;opte pour la nourriture, bien que beaucoup plus saine, mais c&rsquo;est le m\u00eame comportement : le d\u00e9tour.\u00a0Je regarde toujours en avant et je focalise sur mes victoires.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque mon d\u00e9tour est alimentaire, je transforme parfois mon refuge d&rsquo;antan en version \u00ab am\u00e9lior\u00e9e \u00bb. Avec un m\u00e9langeur domestique, on peut avoir besoin d\u2019ajouter un peu d\u2019eau pour faciliter la r\u00e9duction des bananes en cr\u00e8me glac\u00e9e. D\u00e9poser dans un joli bol et garnir de canneberges et de noix de coco.
